Sophie & TK – Caledon Backyard Wedding

Sophie and TK spent their entire wedding day on TK’s parent’s private property where they enlisted the help of The Event Design Co. to help them host the backyard wedding of all our dreams. With no bridal party, but surrounded by so many dear loved ones that got to waste the day away laughing, drinking and playing witness to their friend’s “I do’s”, it was a day none of us will soon forget. Sophie’s sweet Grandmother officiated the ceremony that was nestled into the lush forest just behind the house. Cocktails were served on the veranda which sat at the top of the property and overlooked the rest of the tented reception area. Because of the laid back nature of this day, things flowed effortlessly and I was able to get many candids of everyone that attended and casually pull Sophie & TK between scheduled moments for some portraits. This allowed for the day to feel slow paced and let our darling couple be present in the moment. Dinner was served station style, and there was no assigned seating, so guests were encouraged to mingle and meet those that they hadn’t had the honour to yet. By the time the party kicked into gear, everyone and their mother was on the dance floor giving it their all.
